Join us for the Stretch, Flex and Bump drive. This drive will visit some of the curvy, rural roads of Fayette County and beyond. Drivers meeting starts at 9:00 am at the Texaco station on U.S. Highway 64 and Reid-Hooker Rd (11417 Highway 64). Start your engines and go at approx. 9:30 am There will be a pit stop for lunch around noon and then the drive continues for more exciting motoring until approx. 3:30 pm Please RSVP before June 10 so that we can make lunch reservations.

Join us on Facebook!
Join us as we transition our website to Facebook. Since we are moving to a dues free format, we will no longer maintain a website (unless some generous donor would like to donate the money needed to maintain it!). Facebook will give us a better opportunity for all members to communicate ideas and schedule impromptu events. Just click on the Facebook link to the right to join. We hope to see you soon!

A Letter to all members regarding the "New and Improved" MINIacs!:
Dear MINIacs,
At our Annual Dinner Meeting that was held on Saturday March 13, Alan Prouser made a motion to dispense with the constitution and by-laws of the Mid-South MINIacs thereby making membership free to all who wish to join. In his comments, Alan stated that we should continue to have officers and the current slate of officers will remain in place until elections are held next year. It is Alan's hope that by making membership free to all who wish to join, the club will attract new members who may have otherwise not joined as a result of the dues structure.

The motion was seconded by Lonnie Anderson and a vote was taken and the motion passed. The structure of the "new" club will take on the form of a "members driven" club with monthly "meet and greets" at various locations. At these "meet and greets" members will be be encouraged to voice their ideas for events and can then implement them into events for all members to enjoy.

An additional motion was also made to make the Mid-South MINIacs annual donation of $350.00 to the Memphis Child Advocacy Center and the remaining balance of approximately $372.00 will be used for other incidental purchases such as club stickers to be distributed to the members leaving approximately $100.00 in the clubs bank account. When the account reaches approximately $100.00, our club treasurer will then close the account. It was voted on and passed for our treasurer, Kim Blanchette to retain that remaining amount for her personal use as reimbursement for her gas expense for driving the almost 700 mile round trip distance from her home in Arkansas to attend the Annual Meetings over the past several years.

As the clubs checking account will be closed in the near future, the current web site may be shut down unless any member wishes to voluntarily make the renewal payment for the web site. Members are encouraged to keep their e-mail addresses updated so they will still be able to receive informative e-mails about club events. Members are also encouraged to join with the Mid-South MINIacs on our Facebook page where information is also posted.

To cover expenses of trophies and or awards for future road rally's or other events, a nominal registration fee may be charged to the participants to cover these costs and any excess monies received will be donated to charity.

If any members have any questions or wish to voice any comments to the changes outlined above, feel free to voice them to midsouthminiacs@aol.com or post them on Facebook at our clubs page. Again, this is all being done in the hopes to strengthen the club and to attract new members.

Respectfully submitted, Sandra Anderson
Secretary, Mid-South MINIacs
